SUNY Cobleskill’s high quality genetic animals are offered for sale as available throughout the year. These animals are either bred and raised on campus, or donated. SUNY Cobleskill also seeks good homes for adoption of animals when they are retired from Campus.

Tempo – Coby's Mistah Beat 5766398 • SOLD
“Tempo” is a 2016 registered, large framed, well-made Quarter Horse gelding that is extremely laid back, with a great personality. He is out of PSU Dont Skipa Verse, by PSU Dynamic Krymsun. His self-carriage coupled with his ground-covering stride and slow legs make him a great all-around prospect. He is started lightly under saddle.

“Epona” is a 2015 registered, 14.2 hh flashy bay Quarter Horse mare, that is a high quality mover desired in any western event. PSU Dynamic Krymsun: This young geldings sire was a top-10 Congress champion, as well as an AQHA Region-5
Champion (Open Western Riding). Additional accomplishments include a 7th place finish
in Green Western Riding at the 2012 Quarter Horse Congress, 5th place finish in Limited,
and 6th place finish in Open Performance Halter Stallions.
Xssential Asset: This geldings dam has produced several top-10 world champion foals. Xssential Asset’s sire, Protect Your Assets, holds many titles, such as Congress Reserve Champion, AQHA World Champion Sire, Reserve World Champion Sire, and AQHA ROM and Superior Performance Awards. This geldings dam is also accomplished with/in multiple futurity programs. “Lacy” (Mainly Mainau OAB-A-M605) is a 2014 Dark Bay registered Trakehner filly out of the registered Trakehner mare, Mainau (ORB-A-M1923).
Lacy is an intelligent, big bodied, nice mover, who is currently working under saddle. She is a quick learner that is doing well in our program with one rider.

Nelson – Coby's the Wanderer • SOLD
"Nelson" is a flashy chestnut gelding, with lots of white, out of Endira, a German bred chestnut Hanoverian mare by the stallion Espri. Before coming to SUNY Cobleskill, Endira competed in Florida and New York, showing in the Level 3, 4, and 5 jumper classes. Endira’s sire Espri notably earned the title “The Hanoverian Stallion of the Year” in 1995.
Nelson’s sire, Glynhafan Traveler, a chestnut 2007 section B stallion (USEF permanent height card at 13.2hh) earned the title of USEF National Adult Hunter Champion in 2014. Traveler also successfully competed on the East Coast Welsh pony circuit in the English pleasure and Western pleasure.
Nelson was shown on the line as a weanling. He won his Sport Pony class and earned the title of Reserve Champion Sport Pony, qualifying him to compete at the 2017 Royal Winter Fair in Canada. At the Royal, Nelson was shown in the Half Welsh Two Year old and Under class and the Sport Pony Foal of Current Year class, placing in the top 6 in both. This colt was bred to be an athletic all around horse, perfect for the junior rider or small adult to enjoy and compete. He is registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America.

“Reba” is a 2019 Roan Filly by “Red White N Good” and out of “Xssential Asset”.
As noted on the website for Red White N Good, “Irish” is a 2009 red road stallion by “Zippos Mr. Good Bar” and out of “Krymsun Jet Set” – dam of 11 Congress titles, three World Championships and a Congress Masters championship.

Casey – Century Unsung Hero • SOLD
Century Unsung Hero (“Casey”) 2006 AMHR Registered #174301, Bay Morgan Gelding by DPR Notability and out of Century Shannalie, by Tedwin Taurean. Casey was trained to ride and drive by students in the SUNY Cobleskill Equine Program. He has been used primarily as a driving horse, though he has also been previously ridden Western and English. Suitable for beginner drivers, Casey likes to work. Ring, trail, cones… he has done it. Great ground manners, Casey is easy to work with.
