In-Person in Fall 2021

We are looking ahead to an exciting Fall 2021 semester and planning for classes to be entirely in-person, pending necessary reviews and approvals. Our positive outlook reflects the care that our students have shown for one another’s well-being throughout the pandemic and befits our commitment to applied and experiential learning.

We expect to release details soon on what you can expect in the Fall, including the health and safety protocols that may remain in place on campus to ensure the in-person learning can continue uninterrupted. Our final plans are subject to the review and approval of SUNY and our departments of health, and will be subject to change based on the overall health climate.

As previously announced, New York State will require that all SUNY students be vaccinated against COVID-19 if they are taking in-person classes this Fall. The requirement is dependent on the vaccines receiving full FDA approval rather than the current emergency use authorization. The SUNY Board of Trustees would have to act to adopt the policy. We expect to learn more about this requirement soon, but as of now, these are the full details of what we know.

If you are eligible and not yet vaccinated, you can check vaccine availability in your area with the CDC’s COVID -19 VaccineFinder.

Announcements regarding our Fall semester plans will be made here and through your campus email as more information becomes available. Please continue to check each throughout the summer for the latest notifications.

We are a community that knows each of us plays a part in achieving our new reality. Now, it is within our sight.
