Welcome to Online Education at SUNY Cobleskill
Online Education connects you with real SUNY Cobleskill instructors through our learning management system, Brightspace. Online classes give you the same high-quality instruction, technology support, and accreditation as a traditional classroom.
Online courses are convenient and flexible, and they build lifelong learning habits and self-discipline along the way.
Is online learning right for you?
Online courses aren’t the best fit for everyone. Before you enroll, read the Online Education frequently asked questions to see if you’re ready to take courses online.
New student? Activate your account
Do this once, before your first online course. Your username and password let you log in to Brightspace, email, and other SUNY Cobleskill resources.
- Go to Network Activation
Visit the one-time Network Activation site to activate your COBY network and email account. - Enter your Banner ID and PIN
You’ll be shown your SUNY Cobleskill username. - Create your password
Follow the prompts to set a password. You’ll use it with your username to sign in to campus systems.

Already activated? You can change your password or unlock your account any time.
