Fisheries & Aquaculture (BS) to Lake Management (MS) 4+1 Pathway

This partnership allows Bachelor of Science in Fisheries & Aquaculture students to seamlessly transition into a Master of Science in Lake Management, completing both degrees in just five years while significantly reducing total tuition costs.

Graduate Degree Tracks

Students can choose from two specialized tracks at SUNY Oneonta based on their career aspirations:

• M.S. in Lake Management (Thesis Track): Focused on advanced research and scientific methodology.
• Professional Science Master’s (PSM): Designed for students seeking leadership and technical roles in environmental agencies.

Admission Requirements

Students may apply for the accelerated pathway upon successful completion of 30 credits of undergraduate coursework.

To maintain standing, students must:

• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Complete the following prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better: BIOL 111, CHEM 111, FWLD 221, and MATH 125.
