Select the text that is giving you troubles and click the white eraser icon in the tool bar. This will "clean up" the messy formatting and allow you to make the text bold, italics, etc. Keep in mind Best Practices for styling text on your webpage.
Make sure you are logging in from the live webpage you want to edit. Sometimes, when
a user tries to login from the homepage, for example, it will deny you access since
you don't have access to edit that particular page.
If you still can't get in to edit your page, the page may be checked-out by another
user. Check back later or contact the Webmaster.
There may be a few things going on. Check the following:
- Make sure you are logging in from the live webpage you want to edit. Sometimes,
when a user tries to login from the homepage, for example, it will deny you access
since you don't have access to edit that particular page.
- Your username and password may be being typed in wrong. Note that usernames and
passwords are case sensitive, so make sure CapLocks is not on.
- If you still can't log in, try resetting your password. Directions are in the
OmniUpdate How-To Guide.
- If all else fails, contact the Webmaster.
When you are viewing the live webpage, click "Refresh" or hit the F5 key on your
keyboard. This will refresh your page so you can see your changes.
If this doesn’t show your changes, go back to OU to make sure you have saved and
published your file.
For any questions, never hesitate to contact the Webmaster.
