SUNY ASAP and ACE Programs
What is ASAP/ACE?
Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) for associate degree students and Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) for bachelor's degree students are comprehensive programs designed to help students complete their degrees on time. ASAP/ACE provide a range of financial, academic, and personal supports, including intensive academic advisement and career counseling, as well as cost of attendance and textbook awards with a monthly financial stipend.
Benefits of ASAP/ACE
- Cost of Attendance Award (up to $550/year) after financial aid has been applied
- Textbook/Supplies assistance up to $150 per semester Fall/Spring (up to $300/year)
- Monthly Stipend ($50/month - Up to $400/year)
- ASAP/ACE dedicated advisor
- Early course registration
- Career development & academic support
Who is Eligible?
All students must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen (NYS DREAM Act students also eligible)
- Be eligible for in-state tuition

Be matriculated full-time at SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech degree program

minimum 12 credits per term applicable toward an associate degree program for ASAP

minimum 15 credits per term applicable toward a bachelor’s degree program for ACE

- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application
- Note: Students from mixed status families are now eligible to apply for NYS financial aid without completing the FAFSA. The application can be found at the Higher Education Services Corporation Alternate Eligibility Path.
- Receive at least $1 of federal Pell or NYS grant aid (TAP or Excelsior)
- Agree to participate in required program activities
