What is the First 50 Days?
August is a new beginning – arrival, the start of classes, meeting new people and finding a new home at Coby and the greater Community. The First 50 Days at SUNY Cobleskill offers a variety of events to help get new and returning students connected to organizations and resources to elevate their success. The First 50 Days begins on August 23 and ends on October 11.
When do the First 50 Days start?
New student arrival is the first event that kicks off the First 50 Days. Other events to highlight are Luau, Block Party, Family Weekend, College Night Out, Game Shows, Hypnotists, Fall Fest, Magicians, Craft Nights, Part Time Job Fair, Movies and much more.
Where do I find the First 50 Days events?
Downloading the Corq app will give you all access to the exciting events planned throughout the First 50 Days.
Download from the App Store OR Download from Google Play. You will also see the events on the Weekly Events Blast and flyers in your residence halls and on bulletin boards across campus.
Why am I encouraged to attend the First 50 Days events?
Research shows the first 6 weeks is critical to student success and retention. We want to help you establish a connection with Coby, help you with your transition, provide opportunities for engagement on campus and in the Cobleskill community. You will get to connect with other students and feel a sense of belonging on campus.
